The legendary gunslinger, Rubel Noon (Richard Crenna), loses his memory after being shot during an ambush. Whilst recovering from his injuries and amnesia, he befriends an outlaw named Rimes (Stephen Boyd). Together, they try to piece together the little threads of information they have on the ambush and discover who shot the man called Noon; and why he is such a hot shot with a six-shooter? But as they uncover each shred of evidence, can Noon trust his new outlaw friend?
